For 10 years we had been working towards owning our own farm. Our dreams came true in January, 2008 when Stars Miniature Show Horses opened for business. Located in the lovely Southeast Texas town of Spurger, we built our facility so that it could offer the best of everything in training and breeding. None of that would have mattered if it weren't for our great clients, friends, family, employees and everyone else who have helped make Stars a HUGE SUCCESS! Here are the exciting things going on right now at STARS!!!

Our Home Sweet Home!
Stars is nestled on 35 gorgeous acres of lush pasture and woods, with numerous ponds and majestic live oaks that are hundreds of years old. Our huge track gives us a stunning setting to work halter horses on the golf cart, and to train driving horses. Our barns are state-of-the art with all the amenities. The interior of the barn is 50' X 120' with a 15' X 120' overhang running down the North and South sides. The main show barn houses twenty plus 10 X 10 show horse stalls and up to ten 10 X 10 foaling stalls. Our show horse stalls are not only pretty, they are safe and roomy. Our horses can easily see their surroundings and other horses, as well as have plenty of fresh air. This is important because we know happy horses make the best show horses! Our open broodmare stalls let the girls feel like they are still in the herd while allowing them individual feed and attention. They have a view of the entire farm and they get their own foaling paddocks too. With our Foalert and cameras, they get care 24/7! We put a large, 10 X 10 door on each side of the show barn for ventilation during the Summer. A huge 20' door on the back gives us lots of options. A 12' garage door on the front finishes the look. We have a grooming area, feed room, wash rack and rest room. We are finishing up a new office, storage room and grooming room that will all be climate controlled. We have also added a pony barn with nine 10 X 12 stalls to give the big ponies extra room! Come for a visit anytime!

We just completed an incredible 2020 Show Season with Grands at The Celebration, Worlds and Nationals! Show Results and photos are being added daily!!! WOW! What a year in so many ways. LOL!
Our incredible stallion Michigan's Just Too Sweet, "Mitch", not only won National Champion Sr Stallion 34-36 and, at 10 years old, was crowned Sr Stallion Over Champion, He was named Stakes Champion in 34-36 Pleasure! This wonderful little stallion has a HUGE fan club because of his beauty and heart! See more details on his page. We are so excited to have a small foal crop coming starting in early Spring 2021!!!

2020 Covid Congress, The Celebration, is a wrap! Stars was proud to present 2 Grand Champions, 1 Reserve Grand Champion, and numerous Open Champions in Halter and Driving! Great results for the few horses that we took. We are blessed with so many people that helped us get there! One major down, two majors to go! Now for Worlds and Nationals!!!
The 2020 AMHA World Show was fabulous! We took the least amount of horses with only 11, and, well just look at the photos! 4 World Grand Championships, 1 Reserve World Grand, over 20 World & Reserve World Championships plus the World Grand Heritage Horse and the World Grand Futurity Horse! Just Nationals left. Lets keep this great Championship party going strong! Easy to keep motivated when you are on a winning streak!!!
After one of the weirdest years EVER, AMHR Nationals 2020 is all done! WHEW! So much to be thankful for! We proudly presented 2 National Grands, 1 Reserve National Grand, 5 Stakes Champions and 4 Reserve Stakes. There were over 30 National & Reserve National Champions.
And so we begin again, building our 2021 Stars for Tomorrow!

At Stars, when we say our breeding program is progressive we mean it! We try to stay ahead of the times so that our foals are what is in style and in demand! Domain needs no introduction. With around 20 registered foals, he has produced extraordinary results with multiple Congress Grands, multiple National Grands, Sweepstakes Champion, Futurity Supreme and numerous National and Congress winners. Now we are honored to own the outstanding Michigan's Just Too Sweet. Mitch has a show record second to none. He has multiple National Stakes Championships in Pleasure and over 14 National Championships in Driving.
FLASH! In 2020 Mitch proved we made the right choice for moving forward as, at the age of 10, he was again named National Champion Stallion 34-36, then Sr Champion Stallion. He topped it off winning National Stakes Champion Pleasure 34-36! Can't wait to see his babies in 2021! Our Future Stars will truly be something for everyone with top notch prospects in both Halter and Performance!!!

At Stars, we only produce between 8 to 10 foals a year, with one being A/R and the rest R/SP. We concentrate on only the highest quality, and are always striving to breed up in our program. Stars has produced many World, National and Congress Champions in both Halter & Driving. We are thrilled with our promising group of foals coming in 2021. Domain is now a multi Congress Grand and multi National Grand Champion sire with around 20 foals on the ground. Some full siblings and new crosses will be hitting the ground in 2021. We have our first babies coming by Mitch as well as a shared foal by Renegade. We will post arrivals as they hit the ground starting in Spring 2021. Go to the New Arrivals page for details.
