For 10 years we had been working towards owning our own farm. Our dreams came true in January, 2008 when Stars Miniature Show Horses opened for business. Located in the lovely Southeast Texas town of Spurger, we built our facility so that it could offer the best of everything in training and breeding. None of that would have mattered if it weren't for our great clients, friends, family, employees and everyone else who have helped make Stars a HUGE SUCCESS! The interior of the barn is 50' X 120' with a 15' X 120' overhang for my girls. It houses twenty plus 10 X 10 show horse stalls and up to ten 10 X 10 foaling stalls. A little more dirt work and some landscape this Spring, and this barn will look like a Star! |

Foaling season is complete. We are so excited about our 2010 foal crop. They are the best babies we have ever had and far exceeded our expectations. We brought back our $1,000 Colt Program and sold every colt, some before we could even get them on our site! Our Future Stars are already selling too. He is a total gentleman to people, his mares and the babies love him. He puts mile long necks on everything. His foals are very correct and stylish. We were thrilled and honored when Mike was asked to do several clinics and private farm evaluations all over Australia. He got to Melbourne on July 1st, then traveled to Perth, then to Sydney, before his last stop on July 11th in Brisbane. He met some of the nicest, most generous people and it was a trip he will never forget. A special Thank You to Kay Tuohey for working so hard in putting this all together, and to Colin Lawson, Peter Scriven & Julie & Rod Kitto for all their wonderful Aussie hospitality. |
